Expedition Photographer & Polar Guide

.

Photographer and guide, I work in polar environments with an approach that is both documentary and operational.

My field experience — from Lapland to maritime expeditions in the Arctic — allows me to create strong visual content while integrating naturally into the rhythm and operations of an expedition team.

My journey

.

My photographic work has gradually developed around northern landscapes, adventure, and environments where the conditions set their own rhythm.

Alongside photography, I worked as a guide in Finnish Lapland, dealing daily with cold, snow, groups, and the challenges of operating in remote environments.

This experience naturally led me towards maritime expeditions in the Arctic, where photography, field expertise, and expedition operations now come together as part of the same practice.

Field experience

FINNISH LAPLAND

Guiding in winter environments: leading groups, adapting to changing weather conditions, outdoor activities, and daily work in cold environments.

SEA EXPEDITIONS

Ship-based work in the Arctic: integrating into life at sea, landings, Zodiac operations, and photographic production at the rhythm of the expedition.

Photography

Documenting the complete expedition experience: guests, teams, landscapes, wildlife, activities, and behind-the-scenes moments to create cohesive, versatile photo stories.

Working in polar regions requires as much anticipation as adaptability.

Weather shifts, itineraries change, a wildlife sighting can alter the programme within minutes, and operations always come before photography.

This reality is central to the way I work: observing, anticipating, and documenting without disrupting the flow of the expedition.

I aim to create natural, documentary, and immersive images while always respecting the environment, the team, and the experience of the guests.
